MISSION STATEMENT

St Petersburg Representational Art Association (SPRAA) was formed to organize a collective effort at raising public awareness of Representational Art and its Social Significance.

Central to this mission is Public Education and the support of artists through regular meetings, workshops, lectures and events such as the annual "Paint the Town' plein air painting competition.

SPRAA's efforts enhance the city's cultural status by promoting the St. Petersburg area as a hub of activity and opportunity for artists and patrons.

SPRAA sees itself as serving the public interest by fostering an every expanding appreciation for Representational Art rooted in local culture and connected to the larger national movement.
